What it does

Monthly budget tracker with a household template that auto-populates a starting plan from your income. Inline-editable rows grouped by category, plus a savings-growth projection that shows what your monthly savings becomes invested over decades.

Who this helps

Anyone organizing income vs expenses. The auto-populate gives a starting frame; the savings-growth side is the motivational engine that makes 'save \$500/mo' feel concrete (\$500/mo at 10% for 30 years = \$1.13M).

How to use it

1. Enter your monthly income on the Monthly Income row.
2. Click 'Auto-allocate to income' to scale the template's % allocations to your actual income.
3. Add custom rows per category as needed; edit names, amounts, and categories inline.
4. Toggle Mortgage / Rent if your housing situation changes which template rows apply.
5. Pick a benchmark return rate to project the savings line.

What it doesn't do

Saves to localStorage on your device — clearing browser data wipes it. Logged-in users can save named scenarios to the cloud. Doesn't sync with bank accounts (privacy + scope).
